Instructions for CT Scan

Without Contrast (STONE PROTOCOL):
No prep needed.

With and Without I.V. & Oral Contrast:
Nothing to eat or drink for at least 4 hours before the scan.

You will need a Creatinine drawn if you are over 50 years of age.

Please arrive 30 minutes before your appointment to drink the oral contrast. It is okay to pour over ice or to mix with 8 oz of clear liquids. Examples of clear liquids are: Crystal Light, Sprite and 7-Up. You may bring this with you to the appointment to mix with the contrast.
