Instructions for Urodynamics
We ask that you come to this procedure with as full a bladder as you can tolerate, unless you are wearing a catheter.
You should have received a questionnaire and voiding diary at the time of which this was scheduled. This is vital to the success of this procedure. We ask that you complete it to the best of your ability. The voiding diary should be kept for a period of 24 hours. Please bring this questionnaire and voiding diary to your appointment.
If you are wearing a catheter you do not need to fill this questionnaire out.
If you are going to be any later than 10 minutes we ask that you call as you may need to reschedule, the time delay will run into the next patient's appointment time.
If you are taking one of the following medications you are asked to stop taking them for five (5) days prior to the procedure unless your doctor instructs you otherwise: Ditropan(oxybutinin), Detrol, Bethanechol(urecholine), Vesicare(solifenacin), Enablex(darifenacin), Sanctura(trospium chloride), Oxytrol Patches, Gelnique. Ladies, if you happen to have your menses, the procedure will need to be rescheduled as this may cause false results.
