Charlton P. Armstrong, III, MD

Dr. Charlton P. Armstrong, III received his undergraduate degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He earned his medical degree from Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.
Dr. Armstrong completed his internship and residencies in general surgery and urology at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio.

He is a past chairman of the Department of Urology for the Greenville Hospital System and St. Francis Community Hospital. Dr. Armstrong is a member of the American Urological Association, Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association, American Medical Association, Greenville County Medical Society, Southern Medical Association, and South Carolina Medical Association.

He is affiliated with the Westminster Presbyterian Church. Dr. Armstrong served as a Major in the United States Air Force.

Michael S. Mathers, MD

Dr. Michael S. Mathers was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Georgetown University where he also earned his medical degree. He completed his internship and residency at Tufts New England Medical center in Boston, Massachusetts. He then completed residencies in surgery and urology at the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Mathers is a member of the Greenville County Medical Society, American Medical Association, American Urological Association and Southeastern Section, American Urological Association. He served as a staff urologist in the U.S. Army Medical Corp., Fort Gordon, Georgia. Dr. Mathers is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville.

J. David Rice, MD

Dr. J. David Rice completed his undergraduate degree in biology at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He received his medical degree from Medical University of South Carolina. His postgraduate education was performed as an intern in surgery at Louisiana State Medical center, New Orleans, Louisiana, and as a junior resident in surgery and urology, also at Louisiana State Medical center.

He is a member of the Greenville County Medical Society, American Medical Association, American Urological Association, and Southern Medical Association.

Dr. Rice is a urologic consultant for Shriners Hospital in Greenville.

J. Robert Monroe, Jr., MD

Dr. J. Robert Monroe, Jr. was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He received his bachelor of science degree in biology from Furman University and completed his medical degree from Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina, where he also completed his internship in surgery and residency in urology.

He has been published in Fertility and Sterility, on the topic of "Differences in sperm antibody test results when capacitated spermatozoa are used," and in Alcohol: Clip. Exp. Res, on the subject of "Effect of Prenatal Ethanol Administration on the Urogenital System of Mice." Dr. Monroe received second prize in the Montague Boyd Prize Essay Contest at the Southeastern AUA meeting in April of 1989. He presented his publication orally at the National AUA meeting in May of 1989.

Dr. Monroe is a member of the American Urological Association, Southwestern Section of the American Urological Association, American Medical Association, Greenville County Medical Society, Southern Medical Association and South Carolina Medical Association.

Thomas E. Hamilton, MD

Dr. Thomas E. Hamilton was born in Marietta, Georgia. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina and his medical degree from Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. He completed his internship in general surgery at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina and his residency in urology at Medical University of South Carolina.

He is a member of the American Urological Association and Southeastern Section, American Urological Association. Dr. Hamilton has done research and given presentations on the topics of "Effect of Immunosuppressive Drugs on the Formation of Anti-Sperm Antibodies," "Gastrocolic and Composite Continent Urinary Diversion," and "Tubulopapillary Renal Cell Carcinoma Presenting as a Complex Cyst."

Dr. Hamilton served in the United States Army Intelligence Department from 1981 to 1985.
